Genesis: My UX/UI class personal xperience: Where it all started from.
Intro:
My name is Olamilekan Victor, a new born baby to the world of tech, like every other individual before knowing about UX, i have always been a USER myself, and since my watch word is COMFORTABILITY, i tend to always weigh my options as a user and then opt for the most comfortable means to achieve my goal/satisfy my need and also create an easy path/pattern that works for me as an individual to get what i want.
Xperience in Class with Kitan David:
So today April 12 2021 10:00AM WAT marked as my first time in class with Kitan David of the FAA — for UX cohort and I’d have to say this, it was a great one, that was by far the best class I’ve been in since forever, even for me as a beginner, i enjoyed the way he eased us the listeners into it, it was all about the introduction to UX and myself been a good listener, I enjoyed it all from the jump till the end, it was also an interactive and open class, although I didn’t add more to the conversation, all I did was listen knowing fully well i can also learn from other students, based on ideas and questions asked, Majorly i answered when it was important for data and regular survey and I’d have to say this ‘i enjoyed it’.
Big ups to the whole team from Future Academy Africa. @futureacademyafrica
What i learnt Personally:
I have always been a business minded individual and also big on creating business ideas, branding ideas and willing to broaden my own horizon to get to an extent of been able to create and develop a business/innovation around what consumers do NEED and not what ‘i think people need’, so which brings me to my own definition of UX, UX has everything to do with creating a user friendly ideas/design/product( if i can use product in this case) meant for a solution for challenges consumers/users encountered during the usage of a particular product/services rendered to improve efficiency and easy use of the product. I hope that make sense.
I.e; Fixing Road sensors to Cars just to avoid bumpy rides and journey, also a tin opener to cans just to avoid stress(From Kitan Davids example), adding a key/push to start to Generators and so on.
Conclusion:
Once again that was an interesting class personally for me and i do hope the rest of the classes comes easy and self explanatory as the introduction. Like i said, i love comfortability and yes; i do like easy.
